Central Florida Farm Tour is a self-guided driving tour featuring some of the most extraordinary farms located throughout east Polk County, FL. On Saturday, April 22nd participating farms will open their “barn doors” to the public. Enjoy the day exploring farms and learning about the area's rich agricultural tradition. Bring your cooler and take advantage of the opportunity to pick your own fruit and vegetables or buy plants direct from several farm nurseries. A fun and leisurely stroll for pets, their families and friends, Paws for Peace is an annual fundraising event that supports Harbor House and its Paws for Peace Kennel. The kennel recently expanded which allows more survivors to bring their pets when they leave their homes. Harbor House has the only onsite kennel for the pets of domestic abuse survivors in Central Florida. The walk is a family-friendly event and will feature bounce houses, music and a train ride for children, as well as free custard samples. harborhouse.com
