Restaurant news from throughout Greater Orlando…

The gourmet doughnut industry continues to expand. Donut Central & Fuelpresso has opened in Downtown Winter Park, replacing former tenant Sleeping Moon Café.

Winter Park residents now have a new place to experience Mexican cuisine with the opening of Café Rio Mexican Grill. A western chain, this restaurant is the first of its kind to open in Florida and boasts an affordable menu with a unique array of items.

Owners of the popular restaurant Kappo have expanded with a second restaurant. Kadence is an intimate and unique sushi bar, offering fresh nigiri and sushi in an omakase-style method. Food will be prepared right in front of guests, and a standard nightly meal will include 18 courses.

Fans of classic American motors will feel right at home with a new Ford’s Garage restaurant. Slated to open next summer, this Tampa-based chain is run by 23 Restaurants Company, and focuses on Ford theming by way of burgers, brews and more. The 7,500-square-foot location will be situated at Hamlin Town Center.

Local brasserie and lounge favorite Urbain 40 has expanded their hours to include lunchtime dining. Patrons can now stop in as early as 11 a.m. for a fresh paninis, salads, flatbreads and more. They are promoting a quick service experience as well, offering high-quality meals in under an hour.
