Tapping into Personal Health: Look Better, Feel Better, Perform Better

In today’s world, we want instant gratification, and nowhere is that more desirable than in the realm of health and wellness. To achieve these goals, we might increase our water intake or start taking more vitamins and supplements and even join a gym, but it can be months before we see and feel the results of that hard work. However, there is a way to start feeling better faster and professionals who can help you maintain that sense of well-being over time.

That’s where intravenous (IV) hydration therapy comes in. Depending on the goals you hope to achieve, trained medical professionals create a customized blend of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to deliver directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system.

It’s a method whose benefits fascinated Nathan Weber after the country was thrown into a pandemic. The 21-year veteran of Disney World was furloughed and had an unexpected opportunity to reflect on his own health and career. “There was always a fascination with owning a business and the pandemic gave the benefit of time and reading probably too much on health, vitamin levels, etc. This business seemed like a perfect fit,” says Weber. The result was the opening of Prime IV Hydration & Wellness, located in Dr. Phillips.

Despite the fact that most people carry a water bottle with them, Weber says a majority of the population is under-hydrated. He says this is due to losing many of the benefits of water as it goes through our system. “At Prime IV, one IV (1 liter) is the equivalent of 2 1/2 gallons of water without all the trips to the restroom. When it’s delivered intravenously, it goes directly to your cells and you feel the impact quicker,” he says.

“The same goes for vitamins. When taken orally, your body only absorbs about 20% of the vitamin’s potency. Through IV, you get close to 100% absorption. Also, our vitamins are preservative and filler-free unlike most oral vitamins.”

The IV “drips,” as they are often called, can be tailored to a client’s individual needs, whether that’s looking better, feeling better or performing better. “People may have only heard about drips used as a hangover cure, but that is a very small portion of our requests,” Weber says. “We have drips focused on immunity, energy, anti-aging, weight loss, athletic performance and recovery—we even have ones that help with jet lag, sunburn, and getting critical vitamins for those that have had bariatric surgery.”

Determining which mix of vitamins and minerals is right for you begins with a consultation with one of Prime IV’s nurses on staff. Not only do they discuss your objectives, they also make the process essentially painless, especially for those who may not love the idea of needles. Nurses recommend the various vitamins that can be used to achieve their goals, such as the fatigue-fighting “Revitalizer,” a mix of B-Complex, double dose of B-12, double dose of Taurine and amino acids; or the “Immunity Armor” with B-6, B-12, B-Complex, Magnesium, Vitamin C, Zinc and Glutathione to fight cold and flu symptoms.

Services don’t end with IV drips, says Weber. “We also offer injections. That could be B-12 for a boost of energy, Vitamin D for mood, immune system, sleep or Lipoline to help with decreasing appetite and increasing metabolic rate. We also offer cryotherapy, which is a three-minute experience where the cryosauna gets down to as low as -200 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s great for reducing inflammation and pain, boosting metabolism and increasing collagen production. It can also burn 500-800 calories,” he says.

Along with bringing these potentially life-changing benefits to Central Florida, Weber has also created a spa-like experience that is more inviting than a traditional medical office.

“Having worked for Disney for so long, I’ve made sure our approach is very personalized and we place a high value on our clients’ health and well-being. We put clients first and always want to re-evaluate the process to improve their experience,” Weber says. “One thing all of our first-timers and members love are the full-body massage chairs while they are receiving their drip.”

Weber’s business has even become a family affair with his daughters, Morgan, who manages social media marketing, and Maya, receptionist; as well as his mother Leanne, helping the nurses with customer service and marketing.

“I’m appreciative of the support network I’ve had, and even more excited about proactively helping people achieve their health and wellness goals,” he concludes.

Interested clients are invited to stop in for a tour or schedule a consultation with a nurse.
