Unleash Your Imagination at WonderWorks!

A wondrous place where mind meets adventure

Looking for a fun place to entertain your entire family during the cooler, winter months?  How does an upside down house with over 100 hands-on exhibits sound? Even your older children will enjoy the many adventures awaiting inside WonderWorks Orlando, starting with the inversion tunnel that will turn them “right side up” to begin a journey through three wondrous floors of mind-stimulating entertainment.

Experience.

The first floor of WonderWorks Orlando contains a reenactment of the 1989 San Francisco earthquake, where you can experience similar ground shaking tremors measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale. Then, step right into the Hurricane Hole to literally be blown away by 71mph winds! Ever wonder how cold the icy ocean felt on the night that the Titanic sank? Feel the frigid waters youself, and time how long each member of the family can keep their hand submerged.

Only at WonderWorks will you get the opportunity to feel the sensation of 3,500 sharp nails rising up from underneath you while lying down on the Bed of Nails. Too prickly for you? How about riding a simulator of a roller coaster that you have personally designed with the ability to turn 360° in every direction…even upside down!

Interact.

One of the most challenging and popular activities found on the second floor of WonderWorks Orlando is Mindball, where two players test their bio feedback skills by first strapping on a headband with electrodes. The players then have to relax their mind in order to move a ball across the table to the opposing side by using nothing but their brain waves. Remain calm because the most relaxed player will win; but this addicting game is not as easy as it sounds. In fact, cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point use a similar technology for training.

If you prefer to test something other than your mind, then head over to the Major Leagues and see how fast you can pitch a baseball toward the home plate. Something even simpler? The Bubble Lab is guaranteed to be a fun place for everyone, allowing the creation of bubbles gigantic enough to engulf one’s entire body.

Challenge.

Adventure and thrills don’t stop in the “basement.” The Indoor Ropes Challenge Course is the first of its kind in Orlando. This challenging glow-in-the dark course rises to a height of up to 36 feet and includes more than 20 different obstacles, such as a tire traverse, suspension bridges, and swinging beams designed to test your balance and courage every step of the way. Climbers must wear closed shoes and be a minimum of 48” tall to participate alone (or at least 42″ tall with an adult).

If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, enjoy a game of Laser-Tag by competing against family members inside of a huge black-lit maze. Or test your skills in the video arcade to collect winning tickets that can be redeemed at the prize counter. Warning…the kids will NOT want to leave this area

Adventure.

Jump aboard the most amazing adventure that will transcend your imagination by combining 3D film on a big screen with special effects and full motion seats. The XD Theater 4D is a one-of-a- kind, simulated thrill ride that features one of three showings depending on the season: Canyon Coaster, Haunted Mine, and Robotics on Mars. Thrill seekers must be 40” tall to experience this exhilarating journey.

Magic Comedy Dinner.

The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show will entertain your family with 90 full minutes of nothing but laughter. It’s the perfect finish to an adventurous day. The very talented Tony Brent has been entertaining audiences for over 15 years. He combines remarkable magic with ingenious impersonations and hysterical comedy for all ages. The audience does more than just watch the show; they actually get a chance to participate in it! Guests will receive non-stop dinner service with unlimited fresh pizza, salad, popcorn, soda, beer, wine, and even dessert. Expect to be impressed!
