Jenga Keychain

Family trips create the fondest memories. This craft will keep vacation memories close to your heart and in the palm of your hand! Collect travel maps from your favorite destinations to pair with recycled board game pieces. Creativity and imagination are key to unlocking the treasured memories of your family travels.

Materials:

  • Jenga board game piece or other small wooden block
  • Decorative paper; such as, travel map, sheet music, wrapping paper, book page, etc.
  • Screw eye
  • Key ring
  • Round nose pliers
  • Mod Podge or other glue agent
  • Craft brush
  • Pencil
  • Scissors

Directions:

  1. Use pliers to secure screw eye into top of wooden block.
  2. Using a pencil, trace the shape of the block onto map or paper; cut to size. If desired, cut paper slightly smaller than block to allow for thin wooden border. Repeat to achieve four sides (or desired amount).
  3. Apply thin layer of Mod Podge or glue agent to back of each paper and place onto sides of wooden block. Smooth out paper to prevent air bubbles.
  4. Allow a few minutes to dry completely. Then, apply top coat of Mod Podge to create a protective seal. Note: Glue appears white, but will dry clear.
  5. Attach key ring and keys.
