Slices of Heaven

Figgin Awesome at Antica

Red, white, circle, square and with plenty of mouthwatering toppings—here are Orlando’s best pizzas.

Our love affair with pizza runs deep and so we are very excited to once again unveil our picks for some of the best you’ll find in the Greater Orlando area. These superb selections balance comfort with creativity and are just some of the reasons why the region is staking its claim as a destination for quality pizza.

DIRT NAP at Pizza Bruno
On a menu full of eye-catching pizzas, this one stands out thanks to an indulgent combination of truffle Parmesan cream and fresh mozzarella that are topped with salty prosciutto, earthy roasted mushrooms and finishing touches of truffle burrata and truffle balsamic glaze.

SWEET STING at SoDough Square
This Detroit-style pie with all its wonderfully crips edges starts with a homemade sauce and cheese blend before being outfitted with pepperoni, jalapeños, crushed red pepper, drizzles of hot honey, sprinkles of pecorino Romano and some basil for good measure.

TUSCAN LEATHER at Black Magic Pizza
Every hand-tossed neo-Neapolitan pizza these dark arts practitioners crank out is as creative as it is crave-worthy. Case in point: This elevated pie made with a garlic and ricotta sauce base and topped with whole milk mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, spinach and drizzled balsamic.

FIORENTINA at Prato
Beautifully blistered in a wood-fired oven, this pizza arrives to the table slightly charred and cloaked in a silky-smooth fontina fontal cheese with a savory arrowhead spinach crema and thinly sliced speck ham.

DOWN HOME at Lazy Moon
At this hotspot known for its oversized slices and over-the-top concoctions is where you’ll find this delightful offering that features mozzarella, house-smoked barbecue chicken, red onions and bacon all brought together with a homemade barbecue sauce.

RICCARDO at Mister O1
Made with just five ingredients and fermented for a minimum of 72 hours, the dough at Mister O1 is delicate, airy and the perfect foundation for tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh mushrooms, zucchini, spinach and a fresh-roasted red pepper puree.

FIGGIN AWESOME at Antica
This white pie starts with a layer of caramelized onions that is topped with fresh mozzarella, goat cheese, figs and prosciutto. Once it’s been lovingly kissed in the wood-fired oven it is blanketed with handfuls of arugula and a white balsamic glaze.

DON TOMASINO at Tomasino’s Pizza
Run, don’t walk for the chance to sink your teeth into this delectable white pie with breaded eggplant, spinach, tomatoes and the undeniably delicious and creamy “pink sauce”—a garlicky, Calabrian chili-infused marinara with heavy cream.

CHICKEN ALFREDO at Stone Fired Pizza
Like your one of your favorite pasta dishes, just in pizza form, this white pie is a blend of sliced grilled chicken, roasted garlic, rich and creamy Alfredo sauce covered with mozzarella.

SPICY SWINE at John & John’s
Those who like to feel the heat will want to head to this beloved pizza haven to order up this fiery number made with tomato sauce, sharp provolone, hot Italian sausage, long hots, mozzarella and a last-minute addition of Calabrian chili oil.

MORTADELLA AND BURRATA at Mangia
This Neapolitan-style white pizza is one you’ll be thinking about for a while thanks to its seamless blend of tastes and textures by way of cherry tomatoes, mortadella, fresh burrata and finely chopped pistachio scattered over top.

SAN GIOVANNI at Armando’s
There’s something about catching an intoxicating whiff of the truffle oil as you bite into a slice of this pizza and are immediately greeted by the flavor of fried egg yolk enveloping the tomato sauce, mozzarella and sauteed mushrooms.

BUFFALO CHICKEN at V Pizza
Succulent marinated chicken and a tangy, spicy homemade buffalo sauce set the stage for a medley of shredded mozzarella, fresh buffalo mozzarella and gorgonzola along with fresh garlic and basil.

CALABRESE at Francesco’s Ristorante & Pizzeria
Simple-yet-sophisticated, this menu highlight begins with the flavorful pizza sauce that is made fresh daily and then covered with shredded mozzarella and imported spicy salami before being fired in a wood-burning oven at 700 degrees.

PRINCE ZUKO at Ziggie’s Pizza
Thin and crispy with a crackery crust, this dynamic red pie is covered with a mozzarella and pecorino blend and topped with a pistachio pesto, lemon ricotta, julienned zucchini and crumbled Italian sausage.

LASAGNA PIZZA at Dough Boyz
Dough Boyz continues to grow in popularity thanks to offerings like this deconstructed lasagna pizza made with plum tomatoes, a house ricotta blend and fresh homemade meatballs that would get nonna’s approval.

DELUXE at Flippers Pizza Co.
This aptly named pizza is absolutely loaded with a dizzying array of toppings including aged mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, red onion and baby portabella mushrooms, all balanced with a crisp and golden-brown crust.

RUSTICHELLA at Tratto
This Avalon Park eatery is known for cranking out some seriously appetizing risottos, pastas and other Italian specialties, but don’t overlook the notable pizzas like this red pie with mozzarella, ham, bacon, roasted tomatoes and arugula.

SUNSHINE at 1803 Pizza Kitchen
This sumptuous specialty pie features a vibrant lineup of toppings starting with a tomato sauce base and mozzarella cheese that gives way to a sweet and savory mix of creamy ricotta, ham, bacon and sweet corn.

PEPPERONI and JALAPEÑO at Nuri’s Tavern
Nuri’s makes crunchy, credit-card thin bar pies that keep hungry crowds coming back for more. This highlight sounds simple enough, but is taken to new heights thanks to trails of ranch sauce and a layer of sticky chili crisp that packs a pleasant punch.

PROSCIUTTO BIANCA at Reggiano’s
It’s hard to choose from the stellar wood-fired pizzas at this Celebration restaurant, but we are partial to this white pizza where mozzarella, fontina and provolone harmonize with 24-month-old prosciutto di Parma, arugula, squeezes of lemon and a touch of black pepper.
