The Power of Plastic Surgery

At Feiner Plastic Surgery, subtle surgeries for changing bodies can restore patient confidence.

Plastic surgery restores self-confidence.

That is the message Jeffrey M. Feiner, MD, FACS, hopes his patients gain from their experiences with Feiner Plastic Surgery. As a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with extensive experience, Dr. Feiner understands the value of plastic surgery and the benefits—both inside and out—it can bring to a patient.

“Plastic surgery is often portrayed as a vanity option for the very wealthy and image-conscious,” Dr. Feiner says. “In reality, our bodies universally change with age, weight fluctuations and pregnancy.”

With plastic surgery, a patient can restore the appearance of breasts, remove unwanted extra skin and fat, and change the way their clothes fit—which all circles back to restoring that sense of self-confidence, according to Dr. Feiner.

He adds that extreme changes—often portrayed in television programs—are outside the norm of plastic surgery. While some patients do desire these drastic changes, they are few and far between.

“The vast majority of plastic surgeons operate on normal people looking to improve their appearance,” Dr. Feiner says.

A small office with big patient focus

Feiner Plastic Surgery opened in 2019 in Clermont. Dr. Feiner, who trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, brought a background in all areas of plastic surgery to his new practice, having worked previously in reconstructive surgery for cancer and trauma patients in Orlando.

Since the day it opened its doors, the No. 1 philosophy at Feiner Plastic Surgery is that patients always come first. To that end, there are no wait times at the office and staff always maintains availability and accessibility to clientele—including Dr. Feiner, who offers 24-hour emergency service and makes himself available by phone, text or email for questions concerning surgery or recovery.

“At Feiner Plastic Surgery, we keep the focus on individuals,” he says, adding the majority of patients come from personal referrals. “Our patients are the foundation of our success.”

Office offerings

Feiner Plastic Surgery has evolved how it serves its patients over the past nearly five years. The practice currently offers aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body, but no longer participates with insurance companies or offers insurance-based procedures to its patients.

The breast and body surgeries stand the test of time as some of the most popular options among patients. This includes breast augmentation, explant surgery, breast lifts and reductions, as well as abdominoplasty—colloquially known as a tummy tuck—and liposuction surgeries, according to Dr. Feiner.

Additional services at Feiner Plastic Surgery include arm and thigh lifts, full body lifts and male breast correction. In the realm of facial plastic surgery, patients can take advantage of face and neck lifts, brow lifts, eyelid surgery, scar revision and earlobe repair.

The practice further offers nonsurgical treatments, such as radiofrequency treatments via EvolveX and MORPHEUS8 to tighten and rejuvenate skin, laser treatments, dermal fillers, Botox and skin care.

Dr. Feiner performs his surgeries at all major hospital systems in Central Florida.

Life-changing, confidence-boosting surgeries

Many plastic surgery procedures can be “truly life changing,” according to Dr. Feiner.

“The most rewarding part of being a plastic surgeon is the satisfaction in being able to fix something that has bothered a person for a very long time,” he says, “and seeing the sense of excitement when they come back to the office after surgery.”

Of course, the career comes with its challenges, too, the most difficult being presenting and managing expectations for patients.

“The human body demonstrates a wide range of variation and each person poses different challenges,” Dr. Feiner explains.

As a plastic surgeon, it’s important to understand that each patient is unique and no two surgeries are the same. Providing patients with accurate information, realistic expectations and expert guidance throughout the entire process is paramount in not only completing a successful procedure or surgery, but also in building a successful business.

“There is nothing ‘routine’ about plastic surgery,” Dr. Feiner says.
