TOP FIVE:

CHICKEN SANDWICH

A quintet of tasty things to try this month

BOURBON BROWN SUGAR BBQ

AT CHICKEN GUY!, DISNEY SPRINGS

Created by Guy Fieri, this chicken sandwich is the real deal, as the celebrity chef would say. It starts with two crispy fried chicken tenders melded with pepper jack cheese, bourbon brown sugar barbecue sauce, “special” sauce, slaw and pickles, all slid into a toasted brioche bun and served with barbecue kettle chips.

WICKED WAFFLE

AT TEAK NEIGHBORHOOD GRILL, ORLANDO & MAITLAND

Fried chicken and bacon stacked between two waffles infused with pearl sugar? Yeah, it’s a thing. And the addition of cinnamon sugar jalapeño spread and fiery ghost pepper cheese give it this mind-bending sandwich the right blend of sweet and sinful heat.

DEATH VALLEY CHIK SANDWICH

AT WINTER PARK BISCUIT COMPANY, EAST END MARKET

This vegan-friendly alternative features a crispy “chik” cutlet which is dusted with a piquant dry spice, garnished with pickled jalapeños and mayo and served on a toasted brioche bun.

HAWAIIAN CHICKEN

AT JOHNNY’S FILLIN’ STATION, CONWAY

After being marinated in teriyaki sauce, grilled chicken is topped with citrusy grilled pineapple and your choice of cheese. A toasted hamburger bun completes the island-inspired creation.

JERK CHICKEN SANDWICH

AT ELIXIR, DOWNTOWN ORLANDO

Made with seasoned grilled chicken and crafted on a lightly toasted brioche bun, this sandwich gets added flavor from additions of melted fontina, mixed lettuce, tomato, Guinness caramelized onions and jerk aioli.

RAISE A GLASS:

MARTINIS

Libations you’re sure to love

THE BLUE MARTINI

AT BLUE MARTINI, POINTE ORLANDO

Served on the rocks in an oversized snifter, this signature drink is a mix of Van Gogh Blue Vodka, Bols Blue Curaçao, sour mix, and orange juice.

KEY LIME MARTINI

AT PILARS, PLANT STREET

This summery cocktail sets the stage with Stolichnaya Vanilla Vodka and KeKe Beach, a key lime cream liqueur, before adding a splash of triple sec and lime for the finishing touches.

ESPRESSO MARTINI

AT THE MONROE, CREATIVE VILLAGE

This dessert martini is constructed with equal parts TeBella’s White Coconut Dulce Tea Infused Vodka, espresso liqueur and housemade cold brew, creating a balance of refreshing taste with a slight amount of bitterness. Meanwhile, the addition of a mint leaf garnish adds another level of crisp aromatics.
