The Big Bang Bazaar

Stressed out by all the back to school preparations? Need something fun to do on a hot Saturday that won’t break the bank and that everyone in the family can enjoy? May we suggest a visit to the Big Bang Bazaar: A combination of an arts & crafts festival, vintage entertainment, and old fashioned crazy fun!

Started back in 2012 at the Maitland Civic Center and, based on past attendance, expected to pack 3,000-5,000 guests, the location of the Big Bang Bazaar has been moved this year to a new expanded indoor venue… the Central Florida Fairgrounds.

Among a curated selection of over 200 local Indie artists and crafters, shoppers will find a treasure chest of goods all handmade by local artisans, such as clothing, accessories, jewelry, original arts, art prints, housewares, and much more; along with a free photo booth and unique events by local groups/clubs which, among many others, will include the Orlando Hipsters, Orlando Psycho City Derby Girls (an all-female, amateur league of about 60 women who participate in a new team sport that involves knocking other players to the ground while wearing garish makeup and home-made uniforms labeled with their stage names) and, for all bearded gents and the ladies who love their furry faces, the Orlando Facial Hair Club! For those who need to sit and take a break from the excitement, the Big Bang Bazaar’s Film Fest will play movies all day; plus, a variety of yummy foods will be available for purchase.

This event is family friendly and appropriate for all ages! Admission and parking are FREE. For more information, please visit BigBangBazaar.net or on Facebook.com/BigBangBazaarFL. Be one of the first 100 guests and receive a FREE swag bag, which is a tote bag filled with coupons, samples, and products from the event’s awesome vendors!
