Golf continues to captivate players of every generation, drawing seasoned competitors, weekend enthusiasts and first-time golfers to courses across Central Florida. As the sport’s momentum continues to build, the region’s premier golf clubs are raising the bar with innovative upgrades, enhanced amenities and elevated experiences designed to meet the expectations of today’s golfers.

 

To discover what’s new this season, we connected once again with golf clubs throughout Central Florida to explore the latest course improvements, facility enhancements, exciting programs and member offerings that are shaping the future of the game—both on and off the fairway.

 

PUBLIC

CELEBRATION GOLF CLUB

Celebration is hosting a wekkly summer camp program for golfers of all skill levels (ages 7 and up) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon. The camp includes lessons on proper swing techniques and on-course instruction. The club is also offering Florida residents the opportunity to sign up for the Florida Elite Card which provides several discounts and other privileges at both Celebration and Orange County National. 

LEGENDS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

Legends is trying to grow the game by offering junior golfers the chance to play a round for free with a paying adult. Those 12 and under can take advantage of this offer every day, including Fridays and Saturdays, after 11 a.m. 

METROWEST GOLF CLUB

Though it concludes at the end of August, the club is still offering its Metro Summer pass for $99.99. The program includes one free round, discounts on buckets of range balls, $10 off any green fee before 4 p.m. and 10% off merchandise, and food and beverages (excluding alcohol). 

ORANGE COUNTY NATIONAL GOLF CENTER AND LODGE

The club’s newest addition is The Den, a dedicated area for the entire family that includes 31 Toptracer bays, a full menu and bar, mini golf, corn hole, billiard tables and more. 

ORANGE LAKE GOLF

Those looking for a new challenge may want to check out Orange Lake’s new FootGolf on its Legends Walk course. The course, which is a certified American FootGolf League Course, is routed alongside the par-3 golf holes, with its own tees and oversized cups for the soccer balls. 

RESORTS

CHAMPIONSGATE GOLF RESORT

The club’s Eagles Edge Toptracer Lounge, a combined driving range and dining experience, has new hours and is now offering brunch on the weekends. The club will once again host a qualifying round for the annual Omni Generation Cup, taking place on Sunday, Dec. 20. The event offers competing teams the chance to play in the National Championship, taking place next spring. 

DISNEY’S LAKE BUENA VISTA GOLF COURSE

Several enhancements are taking place to improve course playability and conditioning. The current plans are expected to include fully renovated greens with new contouring and elevations; green-side bunker and chipping are updates; upgraded irrigation and drainage; and enhancements to several teeing grounds. 

DISNEY’S MAGNOLIA GOLF COURSE

Walt Disney World Golf has been recognized by the National Golf Course Owners Association as the 2026 Resort Course of the year. Magnolia’s newest feature, Grumpy’s Gauntlet, covers holes 14 through 17 and this redesigned section brings a demanding finish, especially on the 235-yard par-3 17th.

FOUR SEASONS GOLF AND SPORTS CLUB

In addition to unlimited play on the 18-hole championship course and access to the 16-acre golf practice facility and driving range, membership benefits also include a robust calendar of social events for all ages, including cocktail hours and movie nights. Other highlights include: complimentary Har-Tru tennis courts with USPTA-certified instruction, pickleball, a fitness center with on-demand digital classes, a private five-acre water park and adult-only pool, and much more.

GRAND CYPRESS GOLF CLUB

After spending the last few years operating out of temporary golf shop inside the Evermore Resort’s meeting center, Grand Cypress is excited to be nearing the opening of its new pro shop in mid-August. 

REUNION RESORT

Reunion Resort was recently recognized in Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards for 2026, placing the resort among the top 10% of hospitality businesses worldwide based on authentic guest reviews and ratings. This summer, Reunion is featuring an expanded lineup of family-friendly events and culinary experiences, highlighted by its annual Taste of Summer dining program showcasing seasonal chef-inspired offerings across multiple restaurants. 

SHINGLE CREEK GOLF CLUB

Chris Spalla, director of instruction at the Shingle Creek Golf Academy, has been recognized as one of Golf Digest’s Best Young Teachers in America, an honor that recognizes the nation’s top rising golf instructors under the age of 40. The academy features new state-of-the-art swing analysis and game improvement technology in the indoor hitting bays.

THE RITZ-CARLTON GOLF CLUB ORLANDO, GRANDE LAKES

The club closed on April 24 in order to complete a full regrassing project across its tees, fairways, rough and green complexes. As part of this project, the club is also expanding its practice facility with additional short-game areas, elevated greens within the range floor and enhanced green contours throughout the property. Additional teeing grounds were also added to better accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Members and guests will be welcomed back on Nov. 1.
